2006 December 21 @ 19:55 GMT - YV Is Dead

Posted by C2Talon.

YV is dead. I just don't have the time for it and it seems no one else does either. I had alot more fun in this clan than I ever did solo, and am sad to see it end like this. Thank you to all the members over the years who made this clan what it was. Hopefully you all don't become strangers and try to keep in touch.

The server YV Duel will remain up. The name of it and passwords will change within the next couple days, but anyone I know wanting the private password can ask and I will most likely give it. http://clanyv.com/profile.php?0,1 is where you can find ways of contacting me outside of game if you can't seem to ever find me in game.

See ya around.

2006 December 15 @ 05:12 GMT - YV is Recruiting

Posted by C2Talon.

YV is now recruiting with no mystery behind the process. Lil' Stanky is has offered to take the lead in this, so most questions should be directed to him. The process as it is now has been put back up at the link in the menu on the left "Join YV." It is subject to change however, especially over the next few days, since times have changed since those old guidelines were first created years ago.

2006 October 21 @ 12:47 GMT - Guess What?

Posted by C2Talon.

Passwords have changed again. This time I won't be telling people what it is as I see them. Instead I am now requiring people to register on this site to get the password. All it requires is an email address to activate. Once that is done, then tell either me or Shab in game that you need to be added to the YV Member group so you can access the private forums. After that, you will be able to see the passwords whenever you wish in a sticky in that forum.

If you do not have an email address, just get a hold of me in game or where ever and I can create an account for you without it. The email addresses aren't used for anything but to make sure a real person is trying to register and not just some bot or script.

I am doing this mainly to force people to come to this site and use it as a medium for communication. Especially since we have some issues that need to be worked out and need input from more than just 3 members.

Sending out a Good Job to C2 for all his hard work in organizing this site, these forums and for all his JKA work as well! Hoorah!

2006 September 14 @ 01:17 GMT - Password Change + New Server

Posted by C2Talon.

For the first time in 2+ years, the private password for the server has changed. It was a severely need change, since there seemed to be several people outside YV who had it. It's not that hard to believe, since the password hadn't changed in so long. Look at the Clan Chat forum for the password.

Also, we have a new server located at 74.52.117.181:29072 . Those of you with rcon access are allowed to change the gametype and such. I suggest using the VSTRs that I have set up to be able to switch between each type without too much guesswork. Then you can change what you need after that.

Comments/suggestions and such about the new server should be put in the thread created for it: http://clanyv.com/read.php?7,41

2006 September 09 @ 03:40 GMT - Forum Upgrade

Posted by C2Talon.

I had to upgrade to a newer version of the forum. If you find anything wrong or any bugs with it, post it here and I'll fix it ASAP.

Also, if you didn't get the subtle hint from the last post, the JKA passwords for the server will change in a few short days. Consider this your fair warning. I suggest registering so when it does change, you can immediately find out the new one, instead of being left in the dark.

2006 September 03 @ 23:16 GMT - All YV Take Heed

Posted by C2Talon.

While I will not require anyone to actually register for this site or regularly visit it, I would highly suggest everyone to at least register. Reason being is that it is a much better medium of communication than the word of mouth we have going now. For instance, if the server password changed, how long do you think it would take everyone find out the new password? Quite a while, right? Now, let's say it does change and the change is posted here. Well, when someone figures out the old password doesn't work, they can just come here to find out the new one much faster than finding someone else that's online that knows it. That being said, I don't want to hear too many complaints from the people who refuse to register for the site when they cannot get into the server because it's full.

Now, how this will work is:

1. Register for the site using a valid email address.

2. Check your email to activate your account.

3. Find me online so I can be sure you are who you say you are.

4. I will then add you to the YV group.

5. Then you will be able to have access to the private forums.

Magic, no?

2006 August 23 @ 04:56 GMT - New Hosting Needed

Posted by C2Talon.

Well, the website could go down at any time now, since I just found out that my term finally ended with my current host. They're not the cheapest, like they used to be, not by a long shot since prices have plumeted for hosting in the past year. So, I'm in the process of finding a new host. Hopefully I'll be able to research one fast enough and any downtime for the site will be minimal.

Fixed the MySQL errors that were preventing people from posting. Enjoy.

2006 March 20 @ 03:40 GMT - MySQL Errors

Posted by C2Talon.

I has come to my attention that some people are getting MySQL errors while trying to post in the forum, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get around it. While I have an idea what it may be, I won't be able to take a serious look at it for a day or two. Hopefully it'll be a quick fix and everyone will be able to post freely soon.
