Since YV is now officially dead, I have a server to deal with. I have decided to keep it running for as long as I still enjoy the game. With that, the server name and passwords will change, and most anyone I know can get a hold of me to get the private password for it. Hopefully, when I get a new forum running on this site, I'll be able to manage the server better because I will be able to get input from people I don't regularly see in the game.
For those that don't know, the server is a Jedi Academy server, formally named YV Duel, and will probably change from the name it is now when I find a more fitting name. The IP address of the server is 69.93.11.109.
I got sick of using an image gallery created by someone else, so I started to throw one together. Right now it's just a barebones browser without thumbnails, but I hope to get it looking decent sometime soon. I already took down the other gallery, so you can already see the new one in all its barely working condition, heh.
I need to get some new images in there as well, I don't think there's a single one in there right now that is less than a year old.
My todo list grows...
Believe it or not, I did something. A couple rather huge global change in fact. Though it may not look different... to you. It really shouldn't, at least I'd hope given that most use modern browsers these days.
Oh, I suppose I also added a link to The Insurrection's website, which is the Guild Wars guild that I'm in. It's that fancy link at the end at the top menu. You know, right next to Clan Yuuzhan Vong's link, which so happens to be the Jedi Academy clan I'm in. Grand, no?
Also, the last of finals for me for the year is tomorrow, so I will finally have free time. Cheers.
Well, since I already posted complete maps of Elona that I compiled to another website, I figured I'd post it here as well. Since I don't want to leave my own website in the dark about what I do. Weird, eh?
World Maps: Full Elona Map (1.37MB); Realm of Torment "Map" (95.5KB)
Exploration Maps: Low Quality (1.30MB); Medium Quality (3.06MB); High Quality (13.5MB)
And just because, here's my cartography titles I recieved from last to first, since I haven't done posted anything about it before: Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer, Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer, and Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer.
Oh yes, my reorganization of the site has been delayed due to an overwhelming amount of homework lately. Perhaps when finals are over and I get a break I'll be able to continue from where I left off.
I'm going to reoganizing much of site in the coming week or so. I'll just probably make it a dumping ground for source code and images for myself. Although I lost much of my source and images with the loss of my thumbdrive. I'll somehow manage though. I'll even probably officially label the site as my blog as well, because that's definitely what it seems it turned into. I'll be dumping the current forum, because it can't quite do what I need it to right now. The site will most likely get a facelift as well. I mean it's been about 5 or maybe 6 years with the same design?
Seems I had left my thumbdrive in a computer at the library at St Cloud State. That was so smart of me, and I suppose is the punishment I get for accepting to take a survey while I was working on homework. My hope is that whoever has found the thumbdrive didn't just wipe the drive and claim as their own. Maybe they're curious about what's on it, and may eventually lead them to this site.
If you are the one who has found my thumbdrive and would like to be my personal hero and savior, please contact me via email with your St Cloud email address so I know it's not just some random nobody on the internet trying to trick me. My St Cloud email is (removed). I suppose if you really look a look at everything, you probably can find my phone number and may contact me via that as well.
I have another thumbdrive I have never used and you can have it in exchange, if you so desire, as reward for finding my thumbdrive; or perhaps a monetary reward. Either way, I have non-replaceable files on that drive and would really appreciate getting it back.
Well, it seems that much has changed since the last time I took a look at my current hosting plan. It's probably one of the better deals out there and possibly more reliable, so I did not have to change my host.
Now, I just need an idea to put this whole thing to better use...
Well, the website could go down at any time now, since I just found out that my term finally ended with my current host. They're not the cheapest, like they used to be, not by a long shot since prices have plumeted for hosting in the past year. So, I'm in the process of finding a new host. Hopefully I'll be able to research one fast enough and any downtime for the site will be minimal.
There seem to be some taking advantage of me in my absence from this site. I may not have time to play with the public aspect of the site anymore, but I will not allow it to be ravaged with advertisements. Nor will I allow false usernames to remain long when I know they're only after having just "another site" to add to the list of sites that have links pointing to theirs, thus increasing their position on search engines. This site is not a tool for you people who are trying to abuse it for your own ends. This site is my tool, and so shall it remain so long as I am paying for the server.
It has come to my attention that as of February 2006, telnet connections no longer work on Battle.net, therefore, C2BN will no longer work. I guess that just means I'll never need to release a good update to it.
I'm currently in a position where I cannot maintain anything for any length of time, so I will just claim to be taking a break from everything for an undetermined length of time.
That is all.
Well, vacation was fun. I went all over the place. Back nearly just in time to move again. Oh what fun.
I started working on another site, this one is for the gaming guild I'm in. Funny thing is, I seem to only work on it while at work. Irony, no?
afk
Oh no, it's a new year. Someone save us! In reality, I don't really care about it being the new year, but what I do care is I have only 48 days left in the Marine Corps, then I go on terminal leave. And better yet, 20 of the 48 days starting next week, I will be on leave. So, in reality I have only 28 potential working days left. Cheers.
For gaming, I've been playing Guild Wars a ton lately, mostly due to their little "Wintersday" events and activities. And because of it, I have become a very rich man in game terms. While I've never had 100 platnium at one time, I have a potential 200 platnium worth of things that I plan on selling. All that kick started it was selling my most valuable piece of electronic valuables I had at the time, which was a Superior Vigor Rune, which I had been holding onto since the beginning of the game and was hording it. Now, with that kick-start of funds, I've been buying and selling so much stuff it's crazy.
In other news, I finished watching the series Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Fullmetal Alchemist recently. Deep Space Nine is the best Star Trek in my opinion because it's just an all-around good show. Especially when they started doing it sort of soap opera-esque in the last few seasons. Fullmetal Alchemist was just an awesome anime. There was many times when I almost watched more than my episode a day limit, just because it gets that good. They just leave you hanging or craving more and more near the end.
I started watching Fushugi Yugi, Angelic Layer, and the new Ah! My Goddess. I'm still in the middle of Sailor Moon right now, somewhere around episode 80. All are pretty good so far, though Angelic Layer is kind of kiddish. It's not horribly so, so I might be able to finish it. We'll see though.
